The device features WiFi and 3G technology, multi-touch interface, 10 hour battery, and a whole host of new applications. Apple is constantly innovating and changing the conversation when it comes to technology. The high-resolution, 9.7-inch LED-backlit IPS display on iPad is remarkably crisp and vivid according to Apple. Which makes it perfect for web browsing, watching movies, or viewing photos. With iPad, there is no up or down; there is no right or wrong way to use the device. The recent launch of the iPad has sparked a new flame of creativity. What could be next?

iPed - Apple Moped: A moped design and developed by Apple featuring a sleek design and high price tag.

iPCD - Apple Girl Band: They will be declared obsolete by Steve Jobs after about 3 months, with the launch of a TV show “Search for the Next iDoll” .

iPPD - Apple powered janitorial services at the University of Western Ontario: Self explanatory.

iPTSD - Apple-induced mental illness: Caused be an exciting event whereby the patient is overcome with intense feelings of innovation (ie. after a keynote presentation by Steve Jobs)

iPS3 - Apple and Sony collaboration to totally @$#*%! over microsoft in the videogaming industry…which leads me to my next thought….Why doesn’t Apple develop a gaming system? THINK ABOUT IT.

Makeover for the Skin Clinics Network

The Skin Clinics Network (SCN) has asked Inspiratica to re-design their new sites and upgrade the structure of their clinic directory. We have implemented a user-friendly content management system which will allow the SCN news writers to easily update the site each day, as well as allow sales and marketing representatives ti easily update clinic pages in the directory. A secure online payment processing system through PayPal will allows SCN’s clients to easily pay for services over the internet. Here is a brief description of what the Skin Clinics Network is all about.

The Skin Clinics Network is a collaborative effort to educate the public on skin care as well as to provide information on accredited cosmetic skin clinics. The Skin Clinics Network web-site‚ main page features a news feed containing the latest infromation on botox, skin care, dermatology, acne treatment, laser hair removal and cosmetic products.

The Skin Clinics directory page allows users to navigate provinces throughout Canada to view clinics listed by city. Waterloo named Intelligent Community of the Year

Think tank Intelligent Community Forum today named Waterloo, Canada, home of Blackberry maker Research in Motion, as the 2007 Intelligent Community of the Year.

The ICF made its selection known at its annual‚ Building the Broadband Economy, conference last week

The ICF five criteria for the Intelligent Community award are based on how advanced the communities perform in deploying broadband, building a knowledge-based workforce, combining government and private-sector‚ digital inclusion, fostering innovation, and marketing economic development.

No United States community was among the Intelligent Community finalists named in January, which included four European cities, two Canadian communities, and a high-tech region of South Korea. New York City was the last United States winner, in 2001.

Conference speakers and participants cited lack of coherent United States public policy for broadband technologies, compared with other global regions in the competition.

ICF co-founders John Jung and Louis Zacharilla pointed to Waterloo‚ 45% job growth in high-tech industries, along with the community‚ depth of broadband penetration. Seventy-five percent of the city‚ adults access the Internet, with 76% of businesses and 47% of households deploying broadband technologies.

Besides Research in Motion, Waterloo (population 115,000) is home to three Ontario colleges or universities and produces 10% of successful start-ups on the Toronto Stock Exchange. ICF feted Waterloo as a global model of cooperation between business, government and academia.

“The community has an extraordinary culture of collaboration and reinvestment. People in Waterloo make partnership a priority and are eager to give back to the entire community,” Zacharilla said.

The ICF also awarded its Visionary of the Year distinction to Wikipedia developer Wikia, together with its co-founders Angela Beesley and Jimmy Wales.
